Science Roadshow

Science Roadshow

At the start of the science roadshow they talked to us about gravity and how it works, and did some demonstrations, like putting a cup of water on a plate with strings attached to it, and swung it around, the cup of water stayed on the plate even when he swung it in a loop and over his head.
And then after that, they let us wander around and look at little science setups. my favourite one was probably the bed of nails, the bed of nails was a bed of nails sticking up, which are quite sharp, but you don't get stabbed by any of them.
Then they called us back and told us about atoms, they create up everything in the universe. they showed us some reactions that can happen if you mix some of them together. when they mixed some of them and blew them through fire, the fire turned blue, pink, and red. And then they lit something on fire and it exploded, it looked like a small atomic bomb mushroom.

And then they but "elephant toothpaste " in with foam, and it shot up in the air and kept going, and started spilling out of the cups they were in, luckily they were in a bucket.

                                                            get new Zealand writing

First, the class did a vote on what should be on the poster.

this is the poster
Then we were given an object in a bag, and we had to feel and think of some words that could describe it. When we opened the bag this was my object.

This was the object I was given, it was an artificial sapphire

Then I started to make my poem, the poem the class had to do was an anagram poem.

My anagram word ended up being bork clue, which was an anagram for blue rock.

Then we coloured in the back of the little postcards, and it made a big poster that said " write your own story.

there were 32 postcards
And then we packed them up and we shipped them off to a school in Aukland. And now we're waiting to get one from another school in Aukland
